From 11th to 12th October 2011, Mr. Stanislav Veniger, senior adviser at the PCC SEE Secretariat, participated at the Regional seminar on suspicious shipments via the Adriatic Sea held in Durres, Albania, and organised by MILDT (Inter-Ministerial Mission for the Fight against Drugs and Addiction) and the French Embassy in Zagreb.

Adriatic Sea countries, EU agencies and other international organisations were represented at the meeting where Mr. Veniger gave a presentation on the role of the PCC SEE in the fight against cross-border crime in Southeast Europe. The main aim of the seminar was to inform the participants on the general aspects of suspicious shipments in the Adriatic and the Mediterranean Sea, maritime surveillance, as well as international endeavours in this area. The participants visited the Albanian Interagency Maritime Operational Cooperation Centre in Durres established in 2010.
