Cross-border Surveillance Excercise between Romania and Serbia

The cross-border surveillance exercise between Romania and the Republic of Serbia will take place on 6 - 9 November 2012. The exercise is organised by the Ministries of Interior of Romania and Serbia, the Federal Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Austria and the European Commission.


The theoretical part, to be held in Timisoara, Romania, will be followed by a two-day field exercise and concluded with an evaluation on the final day. The aim of such an exercise is to increase the knowledge of police practitioners and the understanding of cross-border surveillance, as well as advance and intensify the cooperation between the SEE countries in this area.
