Online, 17-18 June 2021 -The 7^th Meeting of the Thematic Working Group on JIT Expert Network within the PCC SEE, convened under the auspices of the Hungarian PCC SEE Chairmanship-in-Office, brought together police and judicial representatives from the 12 PCC SEE Contracting Parties and relevant partners in the region to discuss joint investigation teams in the context of organized property crime and asset recovery, as well as fighting illegal immigration. Valuable support to the discussions was provided by the French National Gendarmerie, Europol, the Romanian Criminal Investigation Directorate and the German Federal Police that provided topic-related experts and offered a variety of insightful presentations. Moreover, several representatives from the PCC SEE Contracting Parties presented interesting cases of joint investigation teams and international partners were given the opportunity to present ongoing and planned activities targeting the PCC SEE region.
