30th Meeting of the PCC SEE Expert Working Group

Bucharest, 30-31 March 2023 - The PCC SEE statutory decision-making body, i.e. the PCC SEE Expert Working Group, convened for the 30th time under the auspices of the Romanian PCC SEE Chairmanship-in-Office.

 Nationally appointed delegations from the 12 PCC SEE Contracting Parties discussed the most recent developments pertaining to the PCC SEE and PCC Prüm implementation processes, specifically focusing on the further steps towards operational automated data exchange after the Protocol amending PCC Prüm Agreement has been signed and breakthrough consultations on the way forward in protecting their cooperation. The Expert Working Group also established a dedicated thematic working group of national practitioners aimed to boost the practical exchange of data foreseen under the PCC Prùm Agreement. The group will kick-off with a meeting by the end of June 2023. Other topics included preparations for the upcoming 23rd PCC SEE Committee of Ministers meeting, to be held in Bucharest on 20-21 June 2023, as well as a detailed review of current and potential partnerships and activities implemented by the PCC SEE Secretariat.
