6th Regional Conference of INTERPOL NCB Heads of Southeast Europe

The sixth regional conference of Interpol NCB Heads of Southeast European countries was held from 11 to 13 May 2010 in Bohinj, Slovenia. The meetings at the regional level proved to be very useful since in the region there are common forms and manifestations of crime, same amount of exchanged information, similar legal arrangements and especially no language barriers, particularly in terms of improvement of mutual cooperation between the participating states.

The Secretariat of the Police Cooperation Convention in Souteast Europe presented responsibilities, activities and projects in connection with the implementation of the aforementioned convention. In light of the fact that other international organisations and EU agencies are also involved in the implementation project, conference participants unanimously agreed that Interpol should adopt a more active role during the implementation.

The next Regional Conference of NCB Heads will be held in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2011.
