Study visit at the Zagreb International Airport
On 7 and 8 June 2010 in the framework of the Project 'Establishment of network for co-operation between border police on international airport border crossing points in MMS' MARRI (Migration, Asylum, Refugees Regional Initiative) organized the Workshop 'Safety and Security on the International Airport' which took place at the Zagreb International Airport in Croatia.
The objective of the Workshop was to establish the network for co-operation between border police on international airport border crossing points in the MARRI member states whos representatives presented current state of affairs in the field of safety and security at their international airports.
The representatives from Zagreb International Airport showed to the participants how the safety and security are organised at their airport. FRONTEX's presentation on further cooperation was made and at the end it was highlighted that the organisation of a meeting of chiefs of border police for MARRI members states is in process. The topic of this meeting will be focused on form and manner of cooperation between MARRI member states and FRONTEX.
This meeting is planned to be held in autumn of 2010.
