Study visit on Parliamentary Oversight of the Security Sector for members of Security and Defence Committee of the Parliament of Montenegro


DCAF Geneva organized a two-day study visit and capacity building course on Parliamentary Oversight of the Security Sector for members of Security and Defence Committee of the Parliament of Montenegro which took place in Geneva, on 26 and 27 September 2011.

The aim of the course was to offer the participants a comprehensive overview of key issues related to security sector governance and oversight, to facilitate knowledge-transfer on country experiences in the application of oversight mechanisms, to discuss best practices in security sector legislation and to initiate discussions on topics of particular relevance for parliamentarians in Montenegro.  

Mr Anton Travner, Head of PCC SEE Secretariat, participated in this seminar  and contributed with a presentation on the topic Police reforms and cooperation in South Eastern Europe.




Chaired by Albania from 01 July to 31 December 2024 / Next Chairmanship (1 January - 30 June 2025) by Austria
