17th Meeting of the Expert Working Group
Podgorica, Montenegro – The 17th meeting of the PCC SEE statutory body - the Expert Working Group (EWG) - took place on 8 and 9 November 2016 in Podgorica, under the auspices of the current Montenegrin PCC SEE Chairmanship-in-Office and with support from the PCC SEE Secretariat. As one of its tasks, the EWG members agreed on the agenda for the upcoming 16th meeting of the PCC SEE Committee of Ministers, to be convened on 15 December 2016 in Slovenia on the margins of the EU Western Balkans Ministerial Forum on Justice and Home Affairs. The PCC SEE Secretariat presented the strategic outlook for the period 2017-2019, which is built on five thematic clusters that also constitute the 18-month Work Programme of the incoming Trio PCC SEE Chairmanship of Romania, Serbia and Slovenia, which was endorsed by the EWG mebmbers. The WBCTi Chair updated the members on the most recent developments in the establishment of IISG and DCAF Ljubljana presented the most recent common operation “AVALA” performed under the framework of the DCAF Border Security Programme, as a practical example of PCC SEE application.
